The Wild Park is fenced with 4ft stock fences and around 4 acres in size. It has a double fence about 2 metres away from the shared fence line with the Play Park. This has been planted with trees and thousands of wildflowers. This (along with the windbreak) means there is visual break between the two Parks. It has a fully stocked toy box with a variety of balls, footballs, boomer balls, frisbees, rope toys, and flingers. There’s poo bags and a bin at the gate. We also provide drinking water and a bowl for the dogs too (although if a human wants to use it we won’t judge- promise!) Theres a few dozen trees planted in the Wild Park- the hope is we can create a woodland section in years to come. The Wild Park is surrounded by woodland on two sides and gorse bushes along the road side to help create a feeling of privacy.

There’s natural jumps, jumps, tyre jumps, hurdles and weave poles to negotiate your way round. Some pawse points or stepping stones as well as a couple of big logs to balance on. There’s ‘Maeves’ Medicine Garden- created in memory of our spaniel who we lost in 2021 at a very young age. It is full of beneficial herbs and plants that should get your nose to the ground. The Wild Park has a stone dyke with an area of rough grasses behind it. You can climb up and survey the surroundings or use it as a big jump. The area behind is left rough for zoomies or for hunting for toys (get your human to throw a tennis ball in there for you to search for!) There is a second area of long grass which will become a scurry. There’s also ‘Penny’s Pond’ - great for a cool down in the summer- deep in parts for confident swimmers or shallow areas for paddling pooches. Theres the wooden hide to play hide and seek and a biscuit tree to fill and sniff out some treats.

If your human gets a little tired- there’s a picnic bench and a bench for them to sit and rest. Remind them they are welcome to bring a picnic or coffees with them to enjoy while you have Zoomies.
